Have your tomatoes grown abnormally this season? It could be down to contaminated compost in Gro-Bags.
Commercial recycling of garden waste may have caused weed killer to get into bagged compost.
A number of growers have reported unusual growth such as:
- Twisted and curled leaves
- Fast growing spindly growth
- Distorted stems.
These symptoms can also be caused by viruses except for one main difference, the leaves of a virus affected plant often curl downwards whereas plant leaves affected by weed killer curl upwards and can grow with two parts of the leaf stuck together.
If you suspect your Gro-Bags were contaminated please get in touch with the manufacturer, You may get a refund!
